Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has been boosted by the return of his goal machine Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of Saturday's clash against Osasuna in a La Liga week three fixture.
Ronaldo who has not played any game this season after coming out worse following a knee clash with France's Dimitri Payet in the 2016 Euro final against Le Blues was included in Zidnae's 19-man squad that will be looking to maintain their 100% start to the new season.
Confirming the return of the 2016 Euro champion, Zidane in a pre-match briefing said: "We're happy to have him back with us and we're going to make sure he feels good. It's his first game of the season, it's 60 days since he last played, but tomorrow he'll be with us and he's going to play.
“I've not agreed anything with him. He's back after an injury, I'll try and make sure he's with us every day and that he's ready to play. Cristiano Ronaldo is an important player for the team and I want him to be with us at all times. There's nothing more to it."
Real Madrid host Osasuna as Ronaldo returns and the Whites bid to equal the record-holding 15 consecutive wins achieved by the 1960/61 side.
The madridistas are on fine form, having recorded 14 consecutive league triumphs (12 from last season plus the two wins so far this term) and today have the opportunity to equal the 15-game winning streak put together by the side managed by Miguel Muñoz in the 1960/61 campaign, which currently holds the club record for consecutive wins.
